TotalEnergies Uganda Conducts Safety Week Across All Stations
TotalEnergies Uganda has launched its annual Safety Week across all service stations. The campaign runs under the theme “Safety Starts With Me.” It aims to instill a culture of safety among staff, drivers, and customers. Activities include fire drills, first aid demonstrations, and hazard simulations. Drivers are receiving refresher training on defensive driving techniques. Free vehicle checks are being offered to customers during the week. Children’s safety corners have been established with educational games. All stations are displaying safety tips and emergency contact information.
Technicians are inspecting fire extinguishers, alarms, and spill kits. TotalEnergies is working with Red Cross Uganda for medical support training. Staff are also taking part in daily safety quizzes with instant rewards. The company’s safety officers are leading morning briefings before shifts. Fuel attendants are undergoing refresher training in emergency response. Posters and flyers emphasize the importance of PPE at workplaces. TotalEnergies says safety is a non-negotiable value in its operations. Customers appreciate the effort to improve awareness on road safety. The campaign is also running online with safety trivia and animations. Stakeholders in transport and logistics have been invited for workshops. A Safety Excellence Award will be given to the best-performing station. The initiative reinforces the company’s HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) commitment.
