TotalEnergies Opens New Lubricants Distribution Center in Namanve
TotalEnergies Uganda has inaugurated a state-of-the-art lubricants warehouse in Namanve Industrial Park. The facility will enhance storage, distribution, and delivery of high-quality automotive lubricants. It spans over 2,500 square meters with an automated tracking and inventory system. This investment is in response to the growing demand for lubricants in Uganda’s automotive industry.
The center will serve as a regional hub for Rwanda, South Sudan, and DRC. Operations at the warehouse are expected to generate 100 direct and indirect jobs. Advanced temperature control systems have been installed for product preservation.
Safety systems include fire suppression, CCTV monitoring, and anti-leakage design. The center will support mechanics and garage workshops with consistent supply. TotalEnergies’ QUARTZ lubricant line will be prominently stocked at the facility. Training workshops for mechanics are also planned at the center. Product testing labs have been established on site for quality assurance. The warehouse complies with NEMA and UNBS environmental regulations. Management expects faster turnaround time for large orders and tenders.
Digital dashboards will track customer orders and inventory levels. A mobile app for garage partners will be rolled out in August 2025. Local transporters will benefit from fuel discounts when partnering on delivery. The opening ceremony featured stakeholders from the Ministry of Trade. The facility is part of a $3 million investment in Uganda’s downstream sector. TotalEnergies reaffirmed its commitment to excellence in lubricant innovation.
